Warner
Music
We standardized the operations of major music labels after the merger
Case
About the client
Warner Music Russia (formerly known as Gala Records until 2013) was established in 1988 and became the first private record company in the USSR. In 2013, Gala Records became a part of Warner Music Group and today represents one of the largest catalogs of international releases.
Objective
Provide consultation and support in working with artists of the Zhara Music label: HammAli & Navai, Zomb, Morgenshtern, Slava Marlow, Rauf & Faik, Jony, Elman, Andro, Gafur (RAAVA Music), LSP, Idris & Leos, DAVA, and others.
Problem
Warner Music Russia and Atlantic Records (Zhara Music) face continuous legal challenges that require prompt resolution.
It is necessary to establish unified work standards that the company will uphold after the completion of the merger between the two major labels.
How we resolved it
  • Developed and finalized contractual documentation with performers, authors, and other participants in the creative process
  • Formalized the collaboration with other labels, digital platforms, and artists from various labels
  • Standardized the client’s legal documents
  • Conducted the work remotely, utilizing modern information technologies to carry out the processes
Result
We took all legal tasks for both labels for outsourcing. This allowed the company to operate seamlessly without the need for in-house legal staff.
